Summary of Velo de Novia
Andrea is a beautiful young woman, with a lot of desire to live, but nevertheless she has a heart disease. She works as a fashion designer, and she designs a wedding dress for Raquela who is going to marry Jose Manuel. But this dress is not going to be used by Raquela. Jose Manuel finally realizes that whom he really loves is Angeles, Raquela's sister. Angeles loves him too, but she knows that's an impossible love. Then Angeles dies in an accident and at the same time Andrea has a heart attack. In the hospital, to save Andrea, they transplant her Angeles' heart. After the death of Angeles, Jose Manuel becomes bitter and disappointed ...until he meets Andrea. He doesn't realize that she has the heart of Angeles. The couple has to fight a lot of obstacles to become happy, especially Raquela, who doesn't like the fact that the phantasm of her sister returned back to rob the love of Jose Manuel one more time. But the first part of "Velo de Novia" doesn't have a happy ending: Jose Manuel was shot on the day of his wedding with Andrea...

"Velo de novia II" is NOT a remake of telenovela "Velo de novia I", they are written by different authors, the only thing in common is title.

This telenovela is very disappointing to me-- First of all, how could they kill off the main character, Jose Manuel (played by Eduardo Santamarina), after all they had been through. Mr. Osorio really betrayed his audience with this one. It's like he changed his mind about the original story and within the same soap opera decided to rewrite a new story. The majority of the characters were either killed off, went to jail, or left town-- and new characters were introduced and the story and life of Andrea (played by Susana Gonzalez) was transported to another city (Guadalajara), where she meets Jose Manuel's look-alike (also played by Eduardo Santamarina). That's really stupid! It really hurt when Paquita la del Barrio's character was killed off because it was because of her I was watching this show. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Juan Osorio's telenovelas-- and I really love Niurka Marcos, I'm a fan-- but he really surprised me with this one. I can't believe it's produced by the same man who just presented us "Salome." Now, that one was a piece of art-- and I loved it! But I'm not sure if he'll be able to convince me with "Velo de novia."

I'm tired of Niurka playing the best friend of the lead characters in all of her husbands telenovelas. It gets really boring. I would like to see her play a protagonista. Her Juan really loves her he will give her his next novelas.

Me parece que el mensaje de la telenovela es bellisimo por que todos deberiamos ser donadores de organos, pero lo demas me parece una telenovela de lo mas absurda! Por empezar Juan Osorio ya tiene encasillada a su mujercita con el papelito de la mejor amiga de la protagonista eso ya cansa! Eduardo Santamarina me parece un actor muy griton su papel en el PRECIO DE TU AMOR fue excelente pues claro tenia que trabajar con el mejor de todos DON ERNESTO ALONSO para mi parecer los actores que van en decadencia actuan con en novelas de OSORIO la GATA SALVAJE tuvo un papel chiquito y muy especial pues ella dona sus organos pero ami me parece que los peores del elenco son SANTAMARINA Y NIURKA ME CAEN MAL!

I think "Velo de Novia" is a great novela because it's different from the ones they usually show. When Jose Manuel died that was quite a surprise, but a good surprise. I think if Jose Manuel has actually lived, it would make you feel like OK so that's all. I think "Velo de Novia" is the first novela to kill off one of the main character. I love them for that. It actually is one of my top five best novelas.

Just another absolutely idiotic novela of Juan Osorio. You can especially tell since over here in US it's shown in between two wonderful novelas: El Manantial and Nina amada mia. If you watch all three in a row, that makes you feel like on a roller coaster: it takes you up high with El Manantial, then throws you all possible way down with Velo de novia, then again put you up with Nina amada mia. I'm just getting too dizzy from that...

The role of Rafael and Ernesto was initially to be played by Rafael Amaya, but he left to play Pablo (the twin of his original character Paco) on "Las Vias del Amor", so they got the actor Jorge Poza to play the twins Rafael and Ernesto.

Ahora si que Osorio tiro la casa por la ventana, Velo de Novia a sido el mayor fracaso de Televisa desde no se cuando. Mataron a Raymundo y todo el mundo quedo del elenco original solo Andrea, Vida, Raquela y el hermanito de Andrea. Y ahora ya no es remake de Velo de Novia 1 sino de Yo No Creo en los Hombres....!!
